The sample problems in PEDP’s PE Civil Workbook Vol. 9 (Construction) are from the sample problems and solutions published by the NCEES. This NCEES publication is required for IIT seminars and students should order it from the NCEES website. IIT instructors go over these problems in class and may suggest other ways of solving them if necessary.

The NCEES also gave extensive references to the textbooks used in developing sample questions for Construction. IIT looked at these various publications suggested by the NCEES and extracted key chapters from the five textbooks. These key chapters now comprise IIT’s McGraw Hill Construction e-Book, which is a physically bound book printed for IIT through McGraw Hill and supplementary to the construction workbook and seminar.
